Are you engaged to be married? Congratulations! We wish you every possible joy and blessing as you look forward to your wedding day and your lifetime together. We are totally committed to assisting loving couples as they prepare for married life. As you already know, there is so very much to consider and reflect upon, so much to plan and make ready – but not just for the wedding day itself. Our Marriage Preparation Program is designed to really help you reflect on virtually every aspect of married life. We raise important questions, and offer supportive suggestions drawn from experience. Every couple faces challenges; together, we'll help you explore positive, constructive alternatives for resolving yours. We hope to bring some wisdom on which you can depend. Your wedding should be one of the happiest and holiest days of your lives. We know you want it to be forever memorable. Our ministry is about making that come true for you. Fr. David leads our program, and he has guided over 200 couples through the process. He absolutely loves this part of his ministry! You'll meet with him a number of times, using the very popular "FOCCUS" program to explore both the deeper meanings and the everyday, practical aspects of married life. And Fr. David will help you plan every detail of your marvelous, happy, Catholic wedding ceremony. Our goal is that the day should be as you've so long dreamed. Our Ecumenical Catholic Communion is independent of the Roman Catholic Church, but completely Catholic. We are able to offer you a ceremony in the Catholic Tradition, or, if you are of different faith traditions we will do our best to honor you both, in an ecumenical service which you will help design. If you would like to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony with a Mass, we will be delighted to do so. If you prefer the simple Rite of Marriage, that is fine. If you wish to be outdoors, or in a place other than a church sanctuary, we will be happy to accommodate you. If you have special requests or needs, or desire to include unconventional ritual elements, readings, music or other symbolic gestures that are important to you, we can usually honor your needs. We will be there all the way, from marriage prep to the wedding rehearsal and the great day itself. We'll be available to you if last-minute details or changes of plans have to be addressed. Our desire is to help everything come together smoothly, and to put you at ease. Fr. David will go over the details including scheduling of appointments, milestones in the process, necessary documentation, and the requested fee for Marriage Preparation, during the first meeting with you.
